One of the attributes of societies in transition in the Pacific has been the apparent increase in criminal activity, and this has been reflected in the increase in prison structures and their corresponding inmate populations. A suite of research projects undertaken by Oceanik Psi Ltd. has contributed to a body of knowledge about correction enterprises based specifically around Fiji.
